After the success of Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh NeML has signed MOU with Gujarat Government on 23rd Oct 2015 for implementation of Comprehensive e-Market Platform (CEP)
In the initial Phase 40 Agricultural Produce Markets Committees (APMC) have been identified in Gujarat, 5 markets have already started process for implementation of UMP. Presently they are following Gate Entry stage to Traders Participation, Weighing of the commodity, Takpatti (Invoice for Farmer) generation and Gate Exit stage. They will also start Market Cess updation and E-Permits generation in the system.
There are more than 200 Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMC's) in Gujarat for Perishable and Non-Perishable Commodities. Gujarat Government is planning to add 60 more markets to the previous list of 40 markets once implementation in done. They will also start warehouse based markets wherever required.
